Happy Thanksgiving, Merry

Thumm's house! Patti will send out directions

to her house before the event. Bring

The Host by Stephenie Meyer and a dish to

pass around, now that we know what Aliens

eat! We will also be given a

demonstration on how to

download and navigate the

other! Please Note: There is NO December

meeting! January's book is Firefly Lane by

Kristin Hannah. We'll meet January 25 at

Chairperson: Colette Cottreau

Our last meeting was on Nov. 16

where we worked with Memory

Wire. We made bracelets and hanging bead

decorations using memory wire (bracelet or

necklace size), a variety of beads, and some

headpins. We used 22-gauge wire and practiced

making closed loops to create charms

too! We needed a bead chaser for sure that

night!

Our next meeting is not until January 18,

2010, 6:30 at Colette's! We'll be working with

16 or 18 larger gauge wire to make Shaped

Links, or "hammered" flat shapes for a pair

of earrings or the beginning of a necklace.

Feel free to bring magazine pictures of

jewelry that you would like to learn to create,

and/or other ideas for more projects!

See you December 8 at the

Library. Square / Pattern #2 will

be started.

Chairperson: Rebekah Kent

Due to busy schedules and

festivities in December, there is NO gathering

planned! Enjoy your favorite holiday

recipes and we'll see you at the cookie exchange

instead!

Ann Wilde's home with the Author calling in

for a book club chat with us! Please bring

questions! Our annual "Re-Gift" Chinese

Auction will be moved to February!

Please think about what future books interest

you. Some suggestions are:

Five Quarters of the Orange by Joanne Harris

Peace Like a River by Leif Enger

The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak

Remind me if I neglected to add your suggestions.

We can read any books that your hearts

desire; even re-reading the classics can be fun.

Please think about volunteering your house for

upcoming book club meetings. No fancy preparations

are needed; paper plates and floor cushions

are fine. Our potluck usually starts at 6:30

pm and we discuss the book afterwards. Please

e-mail me at kandpc@gmail.com if you want to

volunteer your home.

Chairperson: Kim Silvernagel
